A beautiful macaw as close as your finger tipsBird & Butterfly Watching around the Copán Valley in the many varied habitats. Pine forest, cloud forests, tropical rain forests and secondary growth forests. Migratory birds start arriving in this area as early as September. Bird watching professional have kept an inventory of birds in Honduras for 8 years, and have established there are 270 species in Copán and surrounding area. We also offer a tour to Lake Yojoa a special 52-acre area with easy walking paths offering a additional area to observe waterbirds.

A Butterfly house offers an exhibition of over 30 species, very worthwhile seeing and very easily accessible from the Copán location.
